I'm sorry for not replying more promptly to your message. Yes I was away for a while on holidays but, I must admit,I am also careless in keeping an eye on "quickmessages" in FC. Hello Nils, and many thanks for your thoughts and ideas on my picture @Perfect Time' The clock was actually taken in situe.......and not in a black box :)))) ........but that is how it looks. I simply used different editing techniques and finished up with this........which I quite liked. I do agree about the stem sticking out of frame looking a bit odd........but thought to upload anyway, and it did provoke good and vallied comments from yourself. Thank you my friend.

That was exactly my intention, Nils, to crop and centralize attention to the top of these churches, particularly to their golden cupolas, which is of course their most outstanding element. (Anyway , my intention.. Of course any other suggestion welcomed..) I liked your comment "unorthodox"! Well put!

Hi Nils,
Thanks very much for your attention and nice comments on my work. Old town of Thessaloniki..remains nowadays where it always was but her colourful character is very much spoiled by agressive architectural interventions. Anyway narrow streets and occasional old houses can still be found but the street grocers are gradually dissapearing being replaced by local open markets. This is a relatively old photo taken in 1978. The pavement and the house still present!.. The rest are memories!
