love the calm, wistful, windblown mood prevailing on the boat and the somewhat bleached and subdued colors! a diverse thisworldly "congregation" setting out to approach the ideal and eternal beyond in the light of the horizon. a juxtapostion of two worlds, similar to the concept underlying some of the ancient romantics' paintings. caspar david friedrich comes to mind… well, he always does because he's about the only romantic painter i'm familiar with! ; ))) hugs, sabine.
