The Theatre in Petra, Jordan
The original Petra theater was very elaborate, with multiple entrances and 45 rows of seats. The earthquake in 363 AD badly damaged the theater, but its magnificence is still apparent.

amazing to see how the age-old architecture survived all those years, decades, centuries, and how it literally seems to be hewn right out of the weathered and beautifully textured rock formations! a great shot of the historical site! have to admit, though, that i'd prefer more realistic tones over the sepia, as to me sepia distances the motif even more from us in time. but then again, maybe that was your intention ; ))… lg, sabine.Alfred Schultz 14/02/2011 11:51
If the old folks of Petra (Nabataens?)would have known how to take pictures,
they would have done it your way.
