Wotan and Vishnu...early morning at Grand Canyon
From Yaki Point, south rim, at 6:52 a.m., approximately 35 minutes after sunrise on March 31, 2008. Wotan's Throne is the flat butte, and Vishnu Temple is the pointed peak. It was extremely cold, and I was virtually alone at this popular viewpoint for sunrise at the Grand Canyon. A truly magical two hours were spent here, from pre-dawn, through sunrise, and beyond, watching light fill the canyon.
