Dear Christos, welcome to the Community!
Thank you for visiting and your opinion, it's pleasing as comes from the expert of B&W!
am enjoying you pictures of real life in BandW!
Alexander,
Thank you very much for the welcome.
I spent some time admiring your images from around the world who you have visited! My own opinion about your job is that apart from being a quantitative you are also and a qualitative photographer and this is the most important!
I am also a lover of the darkroom and I can say that I have spent endless hours in this place, as an amateur and as a professional, for a long period of my life.
I created and worked a photo lab color printing large format for professional photographers.
I quit this laboratory after the invasion of digital photography and now live with the memories of analogue photography using from time to time my analog equipment to completely personal and amateurish use. Because I cannot have even a B&W darkroom inevitably I passed in the space of digital photography.
In the recent past I made some attempts to scan some my analog negatives film in a Nikon cool scan, if I remember correctly, it was the type 4000 or the 5000 one, but I did not have the desired results and I abandoned this effort.
Last serviced by the laboratory of a former colleague and friend, in Athens, who has the leading scanner Imacon but again I cannot say that the quality offered by this can be compared now what gives us the recent digital cameras!
Just over a year ago I have a digital Fuji X-Pro1 and with it I spend my time photographing the city that I have give up playing (Loutraki) and the adjacent surrounding area of Corinth.
I am a friend of another good photographer, Angelos Kardamilas who spoke to me about you with the best words.
I hope and I wish from the place of Fotocommunity to have a good photographic relationship exchanging views on the our pleasant hobby.
Finally I will wish the new year to be even more efficient and more constructive in your photographic trips.

Welcome to our company in FC. I'm waiting for your photos and especially for your criticism and opinion on mine. I also miss the hours I've spent the old good time in my dark room and occasionally I still try to revive them using film and conversing it to digital through the fabulus NIKON 9000 Coolscan film scanner.. My doughter still menages to provide me with films as she studied Photography in London and works there, but for how much longer? I shall be delighted to see your work.

Dunny Lund,
Hello Danny,
Thank you for the welcome and your wishes for the New Year!
I wish the same to you for a happy and prosperous New Year!
The rangefinder cameras are my great love but unfortunately the recent years is very difficult to me to use these marvellous cameras because I can't to process and print any more B&W film and prints, so inevitably I entered in the world of digital photography...
Hello Christos,
Welcome! You have some great cameras and lenses! My Father taught me how to take pictures on his Leica Rangefinder SLR when I was 8 years old in Africa. I look forward to seeing more of your photographs! Happy New Year! Regards, Danny
