Hi Jost, just to explain: since I am no longer young, like you (actually close to 80) walking is not so easy anymore. So I can't carry a heavy camera when I go for a longer walk. I have a tiny Canon Powershot that fits in my shirt pocket. I wasn't even intending to do any photos, but as it often happens I realized that the light was beautiful so I took a whole bunch of photos on my street and the park about a mile away. Quality is not so great, but any camera works well in ideal conditions. e.g. both a Rolls Royce and a VW bug will run equally well when the road is sloping downward. :)
