Hi Rob, Thanks for your kind words to Glencoe I took this the with an old Contax 139 a real work horse thats been dropped umpteen times its lost its outer leather skin and is in .a real sad state of affairs. But I loath to part with it I also have a finepix S5000 which does'nt compare though its a good little snapper. I might update the Contax for another but with a titanium shutter and, heavens above a built in moterdrive, so you see I'm very loathed to part from our dear beloved film format.
I think your "chedder" picture would look good in b/w
with strong tones that could be good, I will add you buddies and let you what negative vibes I feel!
With kind regards.
Thank you for your comments.
Most people on this site wont leave
a negative comment. I NEED negative comments
in order to take better pictures.
I also agree with your comment on "Cheddar".
Sometimes you need to get down and dirty to get the best in life. I say cliches like that to myself as I lay face down in the forest or in a parking lot to take a picture. : )
Thanks again!
G'day Rob, fairdinkum mate you are welcome to Australia anytime, make sure you get tham camera's ready though.
If you are heading to the Pilbara, make sure you have plenty of memory for your camera and she'll be apples mate.
Tell you what, we will even throw a shrimp on the barbie for you.
Thanks for your comment, take care and happy shooting.
Hi, Rob. Yes, I did start with a Lumix FZ and loved it. But while I was still in the trying out stage and could return the camera, I decided I would outgrow it down the road. Since I don't want to keep buying cameras to keep up with the latest and greatest, I reluctantly turned in that fantastic camera for a Canon Rebel XT that I hope to use for a very long time. I'm loving it and using different lenses but I miss the portability of the Lumix--only one piece of equipment and that fast lens. My biggest complaint was that it had a lot of noise but Noise Ninja would take care of that. Obviously, you use the Lumix very well. Cheers, Helen
thank´s for Your comment on my picture 'Rose'. To be honest, I already had the same thought. I think it´s due to the large petals and their structure. Nevertheless I like it, I can place it either in the bedroom or in the dining room ;-)
Hi, Rob, thanks for looking at JH Fountain. It is actually a large ugly fountain made of long rectangular pipes, located in a public square at Embarcadero Center in SF. However, when the light is right, you can take close ups of some of the angles and it becomes very interesting photographically. Esp. if you can play with the bland beige color in Photoshop.

By the way Rob, I started out with a Panasonic FZ20. That is a fantastic lens. I can see you are putting it to good use.Helen Page 30/04/2005 17:49
