Thank you for the comment. Stater Bros. Markets is a chain here in California. The stores have been around for 70 years growing from a single store company to a very large company--I like the chain as well as their work and personal ethics. The truck in the background is one of their old trucks and the flags were used with the truck at a local event. The title was my way of saying they put America first.
Try for the higher f-stop (at least 11 or higher--Celal once told me 18).
The mirror lock up is not just for cleaning. It will also prevent shake from the mirror going up when the shutter releases. I have not yet used it on mine but have read about it as a recommendation by some of the pros like George Lepp in articles.
Love your portfolio. Have added you as a Buddy so I can keep tabs on your new postings. Will check out the remainder of your old ones and comment when I get another half hour free. Keep snapping.

I am just learning to use layers, and I believe I used a separate layer wherin I desaturated some of the green. I am certainly far from being an expert but, in order to keep from changing the pixels until you are ready to flatten the image layers, you want to use layers for the adjustments. The masking may be something you would use in an adjustment and while using layers; however, I did not use mask in this. Thank you for the comment.
Dear Jacqueline;
Thank you so much for all your recent comments about my photos.

I invite you to visit my website dedicated to the City of Porto where I live.
There are on the left side some items in english, but in general photographs do not need to many explanation.
