Kimberley

Kimberley ist eine der neun Regionen Westaustraliens. Sie befindet sich im Norden des Bundesstaates und wird im Westen durch den indischen Ozean, im Norden durch die Timorsee, im Süden durch die Große Sand- und die Tanamiwüste und im Osten durch das Northern Territory begrenzt. Die Fläche beläuft sich auf ca. 424.000 qkm und ist somit fast doppelt so groß wie Großbritannien. Die Einwohnerzahl beträgt ungefähr 40.000.

The Kimberley is one of the nine regions of Western Australia. It is located in the northern part of the state, bordered on the west by the Indian Ocean, on the north by the Timor Sea, on the south by the Great Sandy and Tanami Deserts, and on the east by the Northern Territory. It covers an area of about 424,000 square kilometres, which is almost twice the size of the United Kingdom. It has a population of about 40,000.
