Sierra Leone

Sierra Leone is located at the West African Coast and borders to Guinea-Conakry and Liberia. Although rich in diamonds, gold, bauxite and other row minerals, it is one of the poorest countries in the world and an almost 10 years lasting civil war ended in 2001.
Nowadays almost forgotten, many tourists visited Sierra Leone before 1992, that was wellknown for its beautiful beaches, which are among of the bests in West Africa. Besides them, breathtaking landscapes, high mountains, deep jungle, wide rivers, authentic African villages and not least the hospitable people make this country worth visiting again.
