Zohre

Zohre Esmaeli was born in 1985 in Kabul, Afghanistan. When she was 13 her family escaped from Afghanistan to Germany in a more than six month travel where she went afterwards to school. She is unique and the only known afghan model in the fashion industry. At the age of 17 she decided to start her modeling career by taking the first steps with German, Austrian and Swiss photographers.
Instead like many other models she decided to develop her career by herself and succeeded for the very first time by becoming a campaign for BRETZ in 2003 -2007 and Bonnie 2007. With permanent appearances for more than 3 years in all major magazines like Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, etc.
Simultaneously she decided to meet agencies in other territories, which took her to Barcelona, Vienna, Zurich, Milan and on top New York !
Her first Fashion week attention she got in Paris 2006 with her catwalk-performance for Belgian Star Designer “Gerald Watelet “. He loved her and opened the gate for Zohre on the Paris Fashion show in the legendary George V Hotel.
Zohre keeps´ going, she works with more international photographers, does more editorials and press works.
But being a model is not enough, she knows´ where she comes from, and won´t forget the poverty in her country, that´s the reason why she works together with the charity company “women for women”. 2008 the international zeba magazin published a 22 page story about Zohre. Afterwards she made many editorials in New York for magazines like ZINK, Vogue, Elle,.....

“I love fashion, I´m totally fascinated about fabrics, and the harmony of colors. One day if I have time I would love to create my own collection.”
