A Quiet Saturday Walk
This is part of the walk along the Water of Leith in Edinburgh's New Town.
The New Town is a central area of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland. It is often considered to be a masterpiece of city planning, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was built in stages between 1765 and around 1850, and retains much of the original neo-classical and Georgian period architecture.
Its most famous street is Princes Street, facing Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town across the geographical depression of the former Nor Loch. The Old and New Towns were together designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995.

oh, what lovely gentle light!! it – the light – seems to enjoy a leisurely skip and stroll along the semicircular pathway itself. ; ) and your elevated vantage point for this shot is so well chosen! it makes one literally feel the flowing motion of the passersby! greetings, sabine.photodh 13/09/2014 16:40
