A sense of scale....
..... of the Zeus Temple ruins in Athens.
I am about 6ft 4inches (190+cm) tall, if you look close you can see me at the lower left hand side of the building.
The temple base is taller than me! :-)
As a ruin its quite impressive, in its day however.......
I can only wonder.

Wow, it took me a wee moment to actually find you. This shot really does give the sense of scale. Not only of this construction but of the achievements made so long ago and still standing. I wonder how many of today's buildings will survive that long.Kathryn
