Amorgos is one of the most "windstricken" island in Cyclades. Yet, the evening remains the magic part of the day if one selects to go off the beaches and up to the mountain heights in order to enjoy the splendour of the sunset...The strong wind may still be there but the windmills are only morbid remnants of another past....

The windmills where well placed to make use of the winds most be like you say to see the sunset despite the wind.:-)) Harold
