An Autumn Afternoon in the Rhine Gorge
On a splendid afternoon in early autumn 2010, this Rhätische Bahn Regio Express is rolling alongside the rushing
waters of the Vorderrhein branch of the young Rhine through the Rhine Gorge, also known as the Riunaulta.
The train originated at Disentis/Mustér, the westernmost point of the RhB (and the change station for the Matterhorn-Gotthard
Bahn for those traveling on toward Andermatt and points west) and is heading for the cantonal capital of Graubünden, Chur.
The very contented photographer is at an open window in the last car of this happily very long train.
