Astoria Line No. 5 - Meet on the S-Curves

Late on a December afternoon, two Astoria Line R160 trains of the New York City Subway system meet
amidst Long Island City high-rise buildings on this complex set of S-curves high above the street grid.

The train at left is headed for Ditmars Boulevard, the line’s terminus in Astoria, while the one at right is Manhattan-bound.
