Camberwell beauty being sexually harressed
The H.semele tried to court the Camberwell beauty. I took a series of this strange behaviour, but unfortunately the photos happened to be of poor quality.
Anyway... the "incident" is worth an upload.

Antiopa is rare in Dnmark and is restricted to less than 10 localities.But every other year we have an invasion form east and every wood is filled up with them.
Individuals from then invasion breed here and there and depending on the weather it takes some years until we are back to the normal 10 localities.
August 5th 2006 we were hit by a numerous invasion that lasted 14 days until weather became rainy.
Now the antiopas, sit there and wait for spring.

Good to hear Anke,The most difficult butterfly to photograph! It steals light or turns the wavelenghts or something.
In August we had a mighty invasion of them and they are sighted rater frequently these days.
