Chiesa San Giacomo dall'Orio
This is The Chiesa San Giacomo dall'Orio (or San Giacomo Apostolo - Saint James the Apostle), located in San Polo sestiere; Venice is divided into 6 "sestieri", the word is from sesto, or sixth and is thus used only for towns divided into six districs: Cannaregio, Castello, Dorsoduro, Santa Croce, San Marco and San Polo.
It was founded in the 9th century and rebuilt in 1225. The campanile behind the church (not so clear from this picture) dates from this period.
Dear to me for its color and simplicity.
