ein sehr freundlicher Esel
I thought this was a charming moment…
At 2,126 meters (6,975 ft) above sea level, Juf is the highest village
with permanent residents in Switzerland, indeed in all of Europe.
Exploring Juf and the neighboring villages in the Avers region, high above the tree-line in Switzerland’s
Canton Graubünden, last autumn with f-c friends Beatrice and Ruadi, we just had to stop at this steep pasture.
What caught our eye was this very friendly little donkey amidst all the cattle.
He ambled right up to us and seemed to be saying, "I'm ready for my close-up now!"
Both Beatrice and I gave Herr Esel many a Nikon and Canon close-up ;-)

: ))))))))))))))) love the inquisitive look on the cute little donkey's face: the way he's scrutinizing the lens makes me suspect he may be fancying the idea of becoming a photographer himself some day in the nearer future: in fact, i think he's just getting ready to ask beatrice to trade him her camera for his vintage swiss cowbell? "deal??" DEAL!! ; )) priceless capture steve! and beatrice's pose is so funny, too: she looks as though someone is holding her by the waist like a barbie doll, literally "sticking" her into the picture! ; )) greetings, sabine.Maiarisli 30/01/2012 11:47
