came around a corner at Addo Park, South Africa, this one being some 100 metres up the road. He then started trotting towards us. Knowing that elephant bulls in musth (see urine on hindlegs, trace of liquid coming from gland between eye and ear) can be quite temperamental I was relieved to see this1 not displaying any signs of displeasure about us, so I stayed put with engine off...estimated weight around 6500kg...one wouldn't want to mess with that...
