West Greece Epirus Tzoumerka mountains Kipina monastery
In the western part of Greece, in the region of Epirus and up in the remote and mountainous heights of Tzoumerka, is the monastery of Kipina(dedicated to Holy Mother). The monastery is very old, built by the Byzantine emperors in 12th century and it is entirely engraved in the rock.

A truly amazing place...one has to apluad their skills at building [or engraving] such a place high up on the mountain side.A superb scene.
