Diese Luftaufnahme nach dem Start bei leicht diesigem Wetter zeigt deutlich die 2004 (dunklere) auf Stelzen ins Meer gebaute Verlängerung der Start+Landebahn des mittlerweile in "Christiano Ronaldo Airport" in Madeira. Offiziell trägt er die Abkürzung FNC für Funchal.

Der Flughafen ist ja in eine Landzunge hineingebaut und war 1983 mit der 727 echt ein Erlebnis. Sowas von voll in die Eisen ..... Er gilt heute noch als einer der risikoreichen Flughäfen ....

Da wußte man noch, warum nach der Landung die Passagiere der Mannschaft im Cockpit applaudiert haben!
Lang ist's her, heutzutage ist die Tür zu, die Landung aber nicht minder interessant!
