Die Yerebatan Sarayi-Sarnici, Basilica-Zisterne,
erbaut von 532 bis 542 unter Kaiser Justinian.
Mit einer Länge von 135 und einer Breite von
65 Metern ist sie die grösste der unterirdischen
Zisternen in Istanbul. Die 336 Säulen sind
überwiegend Spolien antiker Ruinen.
