Ghost in your Heart

Ghost in your Heart
This is not something that I normally do, but I used ……….I used……I used Photoshop Elements, to blur the person sitting by the crypt to look like a ghost. There I admit it..... I have been seduced by the dark side.

This is my first attempt at blurring something through software and it was mostly trial and error.

Critique welcome

Breathtaking! Fantastic shot. I also love to photograph at cemetaries. There is some kind of magic in it.

do ghosts look blurry, when not moving? i'm not sure… ; ) i thought they looked blurry simply because they are constantly in motion – the beyond is a fickle and capricious place: linger, and you're doomed! ; )) i love the gothic feel to the place your captured. about the blur i'm not sure. the lonely figure does look like a ghost, and part of that is probably due to the blur, and yet it's also rooted in the strangeness of dimensions and proportion: she appears so very small, literally dwarfed by sorrow and the giant vault… and i do like the metaphorical idea of a "the ghost of sorrow" which not only haunts you but also makes you want to hunch up… ; ) greetings, sabine. p.s.: i just did a little googling and and found an interesting genre called "spirit photography". didn't even know it existed! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirit_photography

A good series of your experimenting with the ghostly effect :-)) Harold

Well done for stepping out of your comfort zone. The experiment has worked well.......perhaps a little more blurr would render that person even mor ghost-like.

    :))

I see no ghostly effect here, but instead a great sadness
    communicated very well. Janos

A really moody and atmospheric image which appeals to me very much. I cannot complain about the blurring, as it looks good to me.
    best wishes,
    Lawson

Maybe add some mist to add even more spooky atmosphere ?
But as as experiment it works well, as Leo it looks spooky !

To me it transmits desearation, lonliness amd sadness

Nothing to complain about. If it was sharp we would ask ouselves what's the connection between the tomb and the person. I like it this way.
