Khao Phing Kan

My first photo captured from the famous rock which was got to know as the James Bond Island.
Before 1974, the island, now known as Khao Phing Kan, was relatively undisturbed and predominantly inhabited by indigenous communities. Its international recognition escalated following its selection as a filming location for the 1974 James Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun.
On my first visit in 1978 I was the only visitor watching to this pinnacle rock.
Photo was captured with a KONIKA Autoreflex film camera and an Ektachrome 50 ASA slide film.

    Durch den Film wurde der Felsen weltbekannt und zieht inzwischen Millionen von Touristen an. Unzählige Fotos gibt es inzwischen im Internet, deines aus dieser Zeit dürfte Seltenheitswert haben.

      Wenn man einen "Geheimtipp" in den Medien zu sehr bekannt macht, ist es ja nicht mehr "geheim", sondern nur noch ein Tipp für tausende mit den entsprechenden (Vor ?-) und Nachteilen, die so ein Tipp dann mit sich führt. Gruß Wolfgang
