Not sure what this is, looks a bit poppyish to me, but it is coming out in the sunny garden today!

Beautiful light and focus on this bright red flower. I too think it is an anemone, although most of the ones I see here come in two shades of purple or white. So nice to see you have sun and pretty flowers so early ... we keep getting wet and cool spells.

i does look a little like a poppy, but isn't it way too early for them ?? anyway, it's a very beautiful new garden inhabitant ; ))!! its sunkissed blossom looks so bright and moist and "newborn", as though glazed with sugar! and i just love the pretty spring collar it's wearing! hugs, sabine.
