"Ain't nobody out there?" Do you remember the movie with Charlton Heston "The Omega Man"? Late sixties or early seventies, I think. The first few minutes show a totally empty Manhattan.   I don't think I ever heard about Omega Man instead...
  C.H. along with John W, if I remember rightly they were the actors I disliked mostly back in my young days.
  I followed American cinema very little, with rare exceptions like Altman and W Allen. If I went to the cinema in those years I would rather choose French, English or Italian auteur films like Antonioni, Visconti, Risi, also the Greek Costa Gavras, Polanski, Bergman. I have always had a passion for minimalism in everything and for this reason I don't like pictures with lots of people, which I can stand better from afar..
