One in The Crowd
A mother and her daughter, in arms moves slowly towards the alter for communion. Here in Antigua the re-enactment of Christ who died for us, is to wash away the sins we commit as an act of forgiveness.
I some times wonder what it would be like if this belief could become a little more metro, and people would just be handed a prewash paper towel in a tiny package at the alter by a priest with tongs from a steaming bowl. I'd think the visual would be funny as you try to clean each finger as the towel beaks apart. Then again that could be a sign of the magnitude of one's sin. If it breaks apart real fast, its doesn't seem to be enough, you appear desperate, then its a big problem. On the other hand, if you can stuff the solid paper towel in your pocket. then it is just a little secrete.

I am not a believer - and probably can not grasp the unshakable belief in something above us - while I can understand that perhaps it is that makes some people walk on land is easier - it is very well described :-)regards

: ) hm, wouldn't look too good, if on judgement day you empty your pockets and all those torn paper towels would pop out… i guess you'd be given a disapproving frown by the king and then motioned to stand with the "goats" on his left… ; ) but the adorable baby in your shot needn't worry: she's with the sheep!! hence the fearless look into the camera! ; ) no sins to repent, no white lies. nothing! her mom, though? not sure. she looks a little too grave… pangs of conscience? grit your teeth and get to it, lady! love, how you captured her in profile: introspection, doubt and hawklike determination vs. full frontal innocence! ; )) greetings, sabine. p.s.: both mom and child are outstandingly beautiful in their own individual way!!franka. 29/01/2014 22:40
