During the sacred rites for Wira's Otonan ceremony, a basket is placed over the boy to symbolically keep out all negative influences in his future. He is then sprinkled with holy water 11 times.
This act is called Pebayuhan or "Pembersihan diri" and is considered a religious act essential for every Hindu believer at a young age.
