People don't come around much anymore

Abandoned amusement park called Chippewa Lake. What you'll find there today is the tragic shell of a once-glorious family fun park, one with a history going back to the 1840s. In 1978 the park's last owner finally threw in the towel. Now the rides--more importantly, the park itself--stand silent and overgrown in the shady woods. Scheduled to be demolished to make way for a new 100 bed spa and resort the grounds will most likely be cleared by spring 2009. I was met there by the parks caretaker who would not let me on the property so this is the only picture I was able to take.
