Rama lake is situated in the basin of the upper Rama, the north of Herzegovina, in Prozor-Rama municiplity. The area is surounded by the steep mountains of Radusa, Makljen, Ljubusa, and Vrana. It is made artificialy by flooding the bed of the river Rama. The lake has abundance of fish: trout, pike-perch, carp, and is a paradise for fishermen. Its islands and peninsulas are beautiful, the island of Scit in particular, with the church and the monastery over 500 years old.
