great title....i have been visiting the parthenon and i had a spectaculair view over Athens....like a big carpet build of little white houses.... I'ts a must in Athens. greetings, kat

A fine pic of a world-famous building! I like your title very much and I agree completely with you that trying to restorate the Parthenon is a way of rebuilding the Past. May be in vain because I'm afraid one cannot bring back the ancient glory by restorating old temples. The times they are changing ... Nevertheless the Greek government deserves all technical and financial support from the international community of states to conserve and restorate buildings of the rank like the Parthenon. Also I think that very often the Greek government does not know or estimate what treasures their ancestors have left to them or they would handle them with far more care and respect!
