Rush Hour in Blue Hour
Evening rush hour is in progress, as a Newark-bound PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson)
train from World Trade Center arrives at Harrison, New Jersey PATH station.
As the PATH train discharges its homeward-bound passengers, a Manhattan-bound Amtrak train, pulled
by a Siemens ACS-64 “Sprinter”-class electric locomotive, sprints past on the high-speed Northeast Corridor.
The Harrison PATH station sits on both sides of the busy Northeast Corridor tracks,
which also serve New Jersey Transit commuter trains. Only PATH trains stop at Harrison.
Shortly after the PATH train departs, it will climb a ramp (*) to cross over the Northeast Corridor tracks,
to the opposite side to continue into Newark Penn Station via the Dock Bridge over the Passaic River.
