Signs of hard labour in hard times
I found this amazing old shoemaker's workshop in an old house outside Stockholm (Sweden). A skilled craftsman most likely spent his whole life behind this workbench. An insight that makes you humble.

Although I like the subject, there is a flatness to the tonality and a fading of the range of focus that frustrates my eye. I found myself literally squinting, bobbing my head back and forth, trying to discern more. Perhaps I am taking the picture too literally.
