The Living Forest (303) : Willow Catkins
Some time after the Hazel (see picture below), the Willow is usually the second deciduous tree to wake up with catkins.
The picture shows the beautiful and velvety male catkins of a Goat Willow.
Dutch name : Boswilg
German name : Sal-Weide
Latin name : Salix caprea
