The Middle Ages (45) : Crippled beggar
This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.
Life must have been a real hell in poor and wretched conditions if you happened to be a crippled beggar !
The church played an important role in the lives of medieval men and women.
It was assumed that diseases of the body resulted from sins of the soul……!

Yes, yes, the Church has not only placed such untrue things in the world.That was definitely a bad time for the homeless. Your photo is terrific and the man is the ideal candidate for the role of the beggar. Perfect Portrait.
