The 7 stepped Virgin
in the photo Virgin Mary as a little girl attempting her first awkard steps and being watched anxiously by her mother Anne and father Joachim. The mosaic is located in the Pareklesion of the Monastery and considered as the climax of Paleologian Rainessance, one of the best in the world.
