      Two weeks ago - august. In general - the hills are light green (grass) ; with some rough dark green patches (bracken - which is a type of fern) ; and , purple patches in places - from the heather (calluna). In winter - the hills tend to be more brown/orange in colour. The orangeish-coloured hills on some of these recent pictures are due to the low evening sun - mark.
