DOP, Editor and Photographer
In 1982 Harry Stahl was working with 16mm film teams as camera assistant in the field of news gathering for Bayerischer Rundfunk. After his apprenticeship in Germany he soon traveled the world working for ZDF, BR, WDR and other internationally renown TV Stations like RAI, NBC, CBS and PBS as video editor and cameraman. With the upcoming digital revolution in the early 90ies, he became one of the first editors working with non-linear digital editing systems in southern Germany. Harrys power of observation, his analytical skills and ability to explain a complex and creative process in a simple way led him to become a trainer and consultant to Avid Technology in Germany, where he was soon hired to be a worldwide product specialist and pre-sales consultant to Avids Headquarters in Boston Massachusetts. He then moved on into the areas of product management and sales, where he was also hired to work for Adobe Systems in Germany and ARRI Film & TV. After nearly 20 years in the IT based media industry Harrys strong passion for the visual arts brought him back with his creative side. Based on his expertise in communication, sales and management, his rich knowledge of film and video as well as his experience as a creative director, he is now working as photographer and filmmaker in Munich Germany.
