Karsten Neumann is a freelance sports photographer based in Zurich, Switzerland. He has a passion for creating sports images with a focus on expressing the athletes' action and emotions.

The fascination of sport played an important role in Karsten's life as a child. He was active as a high diver and swimmer from an early age. Cycling, judo, fencing and volleyball followed later.

During his military service, he studied sports and tourism management. He gained practical experience in the German Ice Hockey League with the Kassel Huskies and in the Basketball Bundesliga with Basket Bamberg. With the associated media and press work, Karsten repeatedly came into contact with sports photography.

If Karsten isn't taking photos, you'll find him on the golf course.
