Roland Polczer

Hi, my name is Roland Polczer. I’m a husband, and a father of three. I’m almost forty. In my “previous life” I was a succesful IT consultant, travelled a lot and worked on several projects for big telecommunication companies. Although I enjoyed the challenges of that life, I always felt the urge to do something more meaningful, to create something what is more about feelings, what makes other people happier, what may have a positive impact on their life.

I picked up my first camera, when my oldest son, Zsombor was born. He is seven now, so it wasn’t long ago. As most of the parents I just wanted to capture and save the most precious moments, to make long lasting memories of his childhood. I literally did not put down my camera ever since. Photography become a love, an addiction, and my camera is an extension of my body. A third eye.

In the next years I read and learnt a lot about photography and art. It is an endless subject. It keeps my mind busy and inspires me to dig myself deeper and deeper. I was lucky enough to meet and learn from the very best international photographers of the industry and it gave me a push to quite my daytime job. So I did it, and since then I focus completely on photography. It is an amazing journey so far and I truly enjoy every moment of it.
