Soy fotógrafo estadounidense que actualmente radica en Managua, y he tenido el dicho de haber visto a través de mi lente los escenarios de mas de 33 países al rededor del mundo.

Encontré a mi pasión por la fotografía cuando me mudé a Miami, Florida como un adolescente. Después de crecer en Nueva Jersey, que me parece muy gris y aburrida, en realidad, yo no estaba viendo mis entornos. En Miami, todo era tan diferente, tan vivo, y realmente me abrió los ojos al mundo a mí alrededor. Yo estaba particularmente intrigado por lo que yo veía a través de mi lente y me quedé sorprendido por el contraste en la vida cotidiana, y la yuxtaposición de temas y el contexto.

Fue entonces cuando decidí estudiar fotografía formalmente. Mi primera fotografía que haya publicada era una imagen de muebles para un anuncio en el Miami Herald. En 2004, en una visita, me enamore con Nicaragua, su vibrante cultura y gente encantadora, y me quede. Desde entonces, mi fotografía ha ido viento en popa por nunca decir “no” a una oportunidad de fotoperiodismo. Mi trabajo ha sido publicado en varios publicaciones ambos nacionales e internacionales.

I am an American photographer currently based in Managua, Nicaragua, and I have been been lucky enough to have practiced my art in more than 33 countries around the world.

I found my passion for photography when I moved to Miami, Florida as a teenager. After growing up in New Jersey, which I found very gray and dull, in fact, I was not seeing my surroundings. In Miami, it was all so different, so alive, and really opened my eyes to the world around me. I was particularly intrigued by what I saw through my lens and I was struck by the contrast in everyday life, and the juxtaposition of themes and context. It was then decided to study photography formally. My first photo published was an image of furniture for an ad in the Miami Herald.

In 2004, on a visit, I fell in love with Nicaragua, its vibrant culture and wonderful people, and stayed. Since then, my photography has gone from strength to strength as I never say no to an opportunity to photojournalism. My work has been published in various publications both nationally and internationally.
