2007 Australian Wooden Boat Festival ~ Hobart ~ Tasmania
I'm anticipating there will be those who don't like the truncated arm at left. Just as I was about to take the shot, the fella in the foreground spotted me, rested his arm along the back of the seat and broke into a warm smile. To have asked him to move his arm back into the shot would've taken away the spontaneity of the moment, so here it is as captured - and besides, I'm rather partial to imperfection. :o)
These guys were sitting on a boat, surrounded by hundreds of other boats, looking at photographs of boats and talking about boats.
There's just something very special about boats ...

Wonderful series of images!!I think this is just a perfect scene.. with the men in the boat recalling old travels.
