7(Night)Scape No.3
Rush-hour on a December evening, as a Manhattan-bound 7 Local train eases out of
40th Street-Lowery Street Station in Sunnyside, Queens, lights from the surrounding
neighborhood reflecting off its silvery flanks.
The red block signal will ensure the next train follows at a safe distance.
From 40th Street in the direction of Manhattan, the trains run down
an incline to the next local stop at 33rd Street-Rawson Street.
For most of its route within the NYC borough of Queens, the
7 Train runs above city streets on elevated structures as seen here.
Shooting in December along the ‘7’ allowed me to add several
evening and night-time impressions to my 7Scapes portfolio (*).

Ahh...a fine shot from our together expedition of the 7 trains.I love this nearsharpness of the red blocksignal and the lovely bokeh in the middle and background...and the telecompression is really good in this picture. Here I would interested of a B&W shot.
