7Scape No. 2

It’s getting toward early evening on a summer day in Queens, as an outbound No. 7 Express headed for Flushing approaches the 40th St/Lowery station. It will not stop there, but will blast through on the center express-only track.

In the opposite direction, all signals are green on the inbound track approaching 33rd St/Rawson St station, which appears closer than it actually is, in this telephoto-compressed view, which also accentuates the gradient between the two stations.

My “7-Scapes” series follows the long trains of the IRT No. 7 Flushing Line as they call at stations from Grand Central through destinations in Queens, as well as on the new western extension to Hudson Yards/34th Street, Manhattan.

A nice shot from the 7 Express Train to Flushing Main Street in Queens.
Two Years ago I stood at the same place like You for to shot a few Photos from the 7 Train.
There is a good compression from the tele-lens, so you can see the up climbing Train - a very good Impression !
Hut ab - and best Regards from Germany,
    Hans-Gerd
