A Photographer's Encounter Underneath the Aurora Borealis
Dreaming about seeing the Aurora Borealis, can only be described as a jaw dropping encounter. Two hundred kilometers above the Arctic Circle we waited for for the weather to break. The clods open, covered the moon, and as if heavenly body the Northern lights slowly appeared and dance near and above. When the lights seemly come to you, you begin to wonder if there is a spirit with eyes trying to converse with you. As mysterious as they appear and dance across the sky over you. The move on and vanish. Leaving you back light clouds and moon reflexions on the Arctic Sea. Slowly the curtain closes, sky turns to blackness. Shows over. The time is four in the morning at twelve below. The ride back will be long and, all I wonder about is, "Did I get a picture".
