Altstadt Rooftops, Innsbruck - No.1
The rain and mist of this September afternoon in Innsbruck dashed any
hopes of seeing the surrounding Alps in their majesty on this first visit.
Nonetheless, from the belfry of the Stadtturm in the Altstadt, the combination
of vividly colored rain-shiny and rough-hewn textures of the rooftops below
were an appealing motif for the Agfachrome-100 slide film I was shooting from
my perch 51 meters above the narrow cobblestone Gassen.

The rooftops of Innsbruck are always worth a photo. Maybe you are relieved to hear that neither I haven´t seen the Alpes very often - though I have visited Innsbruck several times. The day I took my picture was one of the exceptional days when a view onto the Alpes was given.manouchette 30/06/2015 18:31
