Antarctic Summer - entering a world of ice and snow

I am leaving Buenos Aires for a while to show you some of my images of my Antarctic impressions. Have done hardly any corrections - except straightening the holizon in a number of images - and some cropping of the foreground.
This shows an image from our passage past the Shetland Islands - very early in the morning - low lying clouds, windy - a feeling of unreality having just passed Elephant Island (of Sir Ernest Shackleton fame).

The South Shetland Islands are a group of Antarctic islands, lying about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of the Antarctic Peninsula,[1] with a total area of 3,687 square kilometres (1,424 sq mi). (Wikipedia)

Wishing you all a relaxing and sunny weekend!!!
