Sailing by boat in the sea of Marmara, along the coast, as the peaceful sunset turns them elegant silouettes, one can see the two most historic religious monuments of the great city. The legendary St Sohia, Christian Orthodox emblem of the Byzantine empire built by the emperor Justinianus in the 6th century AC and the imposing and sparkling in its adorning blue tiles Sultan Ahmed mosque(Blue camii), built in the beginning of 17th century,a pillar of Islamic faith.
Two religious giants that maybe the harsh fanaticism and fondamentalism of History consider rivals but the logic and reason of Art reconciled and placed side by side to remind us eternally that the fundamental religious elements remain identical...
