besides her main streets of traffic, Vancouver also has back alleys where people have their garages and where the electric. electronic and telephone lines run from poles to the back of the houes - it is also where our garbage gets picked up .... and so much more. I walk back alleys from time to time - so many interesting things to photograph :-)))
here last week the alley between 11th and 12th Avenue ..

It's interesting for me to see, that nowadays in Canada telephone cables are layed over the ground. In Germany those cables have been layed under the ground during the Sixties and Seventies, so that over-the-ground-cabling is very seldom to see (I saw it in Bavaria some years ago). It seems that some people dont know where to put their shoes ;-).

Die paarweise verknoteten Schuhe auf den Leitungen haben wir bei unserem Besuch in Kanada 2013 schon gesehen und uns gewundert...
das gibt es bei uns nicht.. hier gibt es inzwischen fast nur noch Erdkabel.. da erledigt sich das mit den Schuhen von selbst..

Da fragt man sich natürlich: Wie kommen die Schuhe da rauf :-)? Interessant ist auch die Verkabelung rund um den Mast - und fotografisch ist die Sonne, die durch die Wolken leuchtet, auch noch ein echtes Highlight. Ein außergewöhnliches Motiv in einem wirklich guten Bild.
